So yummy in my tummy

Photography is not a spectator sport., originally uploaded by filmlab.

Please to read this: Photography is not a spectator sport.

And this is why I ate this mooncake after taking a photo of it.

Does it not look pert, sitting on its bum like that?

It's a moon. It's a cake. It's now in my tummy.

Yum.

This pic of Ben sucks coz he was moving around too much.

Like most women, Ben does not like being photographed so early in the morning.

If you've found a woman you can stand to see the next morning, you're a very lucky man.

How many days does it take to bloom?

Lisa Ekdahl - Of my conceit lyrics

Tonight I'll drown
In the eye of my lover
If i empty my hands
I'll hold everything

I've given up my will
Now you can take it all from me
Or you can leave me
Drowning in a wave of my conceit

Tonight I'll crash
On the ground of my lover
If i give up my soul
I'll be everything

I've climbed the highest hills
And traveled all the distant seas
But that just leaves me
Broken on the ground of my conceit

There's a secret so deep
Opened up for the day
When there's nothing to keep
And there's nothing to let fall away

I've given up my will
Now you can take it all from me
Or you can leave me
Drowning in a wave of my conceit

Tonight I'll burn
In the flame of my lover
If I give you my heart
I'll be everything

I've died for all the thrills
But always wound up on my knees
That's where you'll see me
Burning in the fire of my conceit,
burning in the fire of my conceit.

Her voice is so hot. I could dream forever. Stupid limbic system. Also, curse that corpus callosum. Does she have to be this beautiful?

I am drifting away again...

It is no secret by now that I like being depressed. Who else would do this for a living?

However, I'd like to imagine that there's a better place than this.

But you know.

Just not this achingly beautiful.

Lens pen

Lens pen, originally uploaded by filmlab.

For $10, all the lens cleaner you'll ever want. Brush one end, self-cleaning chamois other end (with built in cap cleaner).

This one is meant for digital displays such as those found on the back of cameras but its the exact same as the one meant for big ass telezoom lens/extension of photographer's penis.

I can't imagine anyone stupid enough to buy an actual lenspen just to clean their display. What's wrong with the old spit'n'rub?

Just for fun, I'd like to include this link. Please to read about The Seven Levels of Photographers, thank you you.

Also the following letter.

*Letter from India*

My dear Jagjit,

I am in a well here and hoping you are also in a well
there. I'm writing this letter slowly, because I know you cannot read fast.

We are not living where we did when you left home. Your dad read in the
newspaper that most accidents happen 20 miles from home, so we moved 20
miles. I am not able to send the address, as the last Sardar who stayed here
took the house numbers with them for their new house so they would not have
to change their address. Hopefully by next week we will be able
to take our earlier address plate here, and that our address will remain
same too.

This place is really nice. It even has a washing machine, situated right
above the toilet. But I'm not sure it works too well. Last week
I put in 3 shirts, pulled the chain, and haven't seen them since. The
weather here isn't too bad. It rained only twice last week. The first time
it rained for 3 days and second time for 4 days.

The coat you wanted me to send you, your Aunt said it would be a little too
heavy to send in the mail with all the metal buttons, so we cut them off and
put them in the pocket.

Your father has another job. He has 500 men under him. He is cutting the
grass at the cemetery.

By the way, I took Bahu to our club's poolside. The manager is Badmash. He
told her that two piece swimming
suit is not allowed in his club. We were confused as to which piece we
should remove?

Your sister had a baby this morning. I haven't found out whether it is a
girl or a boy, so I don't know whether you are an Aunt or Uncle.

Your uncle, Jetinder fell in the nearby well. Some men
tried to pull him out, but he fought them off bravely and drowned. We
cremated him and he burned for three days. Your best friend, Balwinder, is
no more. He died trying to fulfill his father's last wishes. His father had
wished to be buried in the sea after he died. And your friend died while in
the process of digging a grave for his father.

There isn't much more news this time. Nothing much has happened.

Love,
Mom.

P.S : Jagjit, I was going to send you some money but by the time I realized,
I had already sealed off this letter.

One of my most distinct memories is fingering these as I ate porridge, changed and powdered into new clothes, and generally played around the home, as a kid.

I was fascinated with these tiles. They were a lot shinier then.

"When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man I put away childish things." I Cor. xiii. 11.

And now I take them back.

Why is it that when I listen to Silje Negaard's 'The Waltz' I get so sad, but at the same time I just can't stop putting it on repeat? I'm like, digging my own grave, then hitting myself with the spade, over and over again.

It is time to go move the fuck on.

Where to, though? Can it be, for once in my life, my imagination fails me?

Let's play 'The Waltz' a gumillion squillion more times tonight.

And my eyes are starting to hurt again...

My.

I have a family full of doctors. Everyone knows better than everyone else about medical care.

But even among doctors, just like football players, some are better than the others. Some just suck.

So, no way just coz you're a doctor means you're better than me.

I have decided to let pictures talk from now on. I have nothing more worth saying, and if anyone can hear what I'm saying anyway, they wouldn't need words.
